Description/Job Summary

To program and operate the CNC machine

Responsibilities/Duties

•Maintain standard 5S expectations
•Focus on continuous Lean Manufacturing improvement and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Program machinery from prints and files using SolidWorks and SolidCAM software
•Preset tooling to/for CNC
•Operate CNC and conventional machinery such as mills, lathes, saws, brakes, etc.
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Focus on continuous Lean Manufacturing improvement and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Stealth departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Stealth retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

Required Skills

•Must be a team player, detail-oriented, and honest
 
Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Read prints and work to print specifications
•Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages
•Operate basic machine shop equipment, such as milling machines, lathes, drill press, and band saws
•Lift/push/pull up to 50 Lbs
 
Must have:
•A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
•Good verbal and written communication skills.
•Proficiency with hand tools, both power and none powered
•Basic welding skills  
•Basic knowledge with sheet metal fabrication

Required Experience

•At least 1 year of experience with operating conventional machinery and programming CNC equipment

Preferred Experience

•2 years of experience programming CNC equipment
•Current or previous successful employment experience with Stealth Products

Required Education

•High School Diploma OR GED

Preferred Education

•Technical training in the machine trades specializing in CNC programming and operation
